The original artwork, 5.5' x 5.5', was developed for the release of the Capital JAZZ Band's premiere album, Add A Beat, which was introduced in spring 2010 and will tour with the band until the release of their next album.  Artist David SchwARTZ used an acrylic stain technique that emulates the spontaneity of the musicians themselves.  Prominently featured on the canvas are Sam "Daddy Jazz" Glenn and D.C. Music Entertainment Founder Pablo Grabiel.  A video of the art in production, produced by filmmaker Steve Janak, is posted below.
